Ingredients
1Leftover ham bone
2cupsHam cut into bite-size pieces
1Onion
1/2cupChopped Celery
16oz.Great Northern Beans (dry)
1teaspoonGarlic powder
1teaspoonOnion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1TbspParsley dried
6cupsWater, or as needed to cover
Instructions
1. Rinse and soak beans overnight. If you forget to do the overnight soak, you can do the quick soak by bringing 6-8 cups of water and beans to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover with the lid and let stand for one hour. 2. Add ham bone, beans, onion, celery, chopped ham, garlic and onion powder, parsley, and salt and pepper to the crock pot. Pour in enough water to cover. Cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 6-8 hours until beans are tender.
