Day 2

Day 2: Renew Your Mind, Restore Your Space

” Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Yesterday we talked about light.

Today, I want to talk about what can keep us from seeing the light clearly: the clutter in our minds.

Sometimes our minds are full.

Full of worry.

Unfinished tasks.

Full of things we need to do, things we wish we had done, conversations we keep replaying, and things we simply don’t know how to let go of.

And sometimes, without even realizing it, the clutter inside begins to show up around us.

I know this because I have lived it.

My Journey to Healing

In 2020, I became a Life Coach.

At the time, I didn’t realize how much becoming a coach would also become part of my own healing journey.

As I began learning about our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, habits, and the way we see ourselves, God began showing me things in my own life that needed His healing and restoration.

I began to understand that transformation isn’t just about changing what we do.

It begins with allowing God to change the way we think.

And one day, God gave me a picture that I have not forgotten.

I was standing in the corner of my bedroom, looking around.

And God asked me:

What do you see?

I answered honestly:

A mess! Clutter everywhere.

And then I sensed Him say:

“That is what is going on in your mind.”

It stopped me. Everything that was happening in my mind was showing up physically in my house.

He showed me that I needed to begin bringing order into my physical space as I was learning to bring order into my mind.

It wasn’t about having a perfect house.

It was about recognizing that I had allowed so much to accumulate physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I needed to make room.

To think.

Breathe.

Hear God.

And heal.

What are you carrying?

Maybe you’ve experienced something similar.

Maybe your home feels overwhelming.

Possibly, there is a room you avoid because you don’t even know where to start.

Does your mind feel the same way?

Too many thoughts.

Responsibilities.

Emotions.

Too many things competing for your attention.

But here’s the beautiful thing:

You don’t have to clean up your whole life today.

You can start with one small space.

As we renew our minds, we can also begin creating environments that support peace and order.

Not perfection.

Peace

Not a Pinterest-perfect home.

A home where you can breathe.

This is part of why my heart desires to see women walking in freedom, peace, and healing. Not just personally, but in their homes and families.

Because what happens inside of us often affects how we live, love, lead, and care for the people around us.

And I believe God cares about all of it.

He cares about your heart, your mind, your home, and your family.

And he cares about the woman you are becoming.

Your Challenge For Today

Don’t overwhelm yourself.

Choose one small task.

A drawer.

One countertop.

The pile of papers.

Your nightstand.

Or one corner of one room.

Set a timer for 10-15 minutes and bring some order to that space.

As you work, ask God:

“Lord, what clutter am I carrying in my mind that you want me to release?”

Just notice what he tells you. And release it to Him.

Because sometimes restoration begins with something very small.

One thought.

A prayer.

A single drawer.

The corner of a room.

Or one small step.

And little by little, God can bring order to places that once felt overwhelming.

A Prayer For Today

Lord, renew my mind. Show me what I am carrying that you never asked me to carry. Help me release the thoughts, worries, and distractions that are keeping me from Your peace. Give me wisdom to bring order into my home and my life, one small step at a time. Draw me near to you. In Jesus name, amen.

Tomorrow we begin with one small space.

Let’s make room for peace.

Blessings to you!

Danelle
